World Malaria Day Observed at Lord Jagannath Mission’s College & School of Nursing
On 25th April 2026, on the occasion of World Malaria Day, the South Asian Institute of Health Promotion (SAIHP) conducted an awareness programme at Lord Jagannath Mission’s College & School of Nursing to promote awareness about malaria prevention, early diagnosis, and community participation.
Dr. Dasarathi Das addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of malaria prevention, early detection, timely diagnosis, and community awareness in reducing the burden of the disease.
Dr. R.K. Hazara shared valuable insights into malaria research, existing challenges, and effective control strategies, helping students understand the broader public-health dimensions of malaria.
Prof. Amrita Lenka encouraged the students to adopt appropriate preventive practices and actively contribute to spreading awareness about malaria prevention within their families and communities.
The session was engaging and informative, emphasizing the importance of collective action, community participation, and sustained prevention efforts towards building a malaria-free society.
