World Hepatitis Day Awareness Programme at Lord Jagannath College of Nursing

On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, the South Asian Institute of Health Promotion (SAIHP), in collaboration with Lord Jagannath College of Nursing, organized a hepatitis awareness programme for nursing students.

The programme was graced by Prof. Amrita Lenka, President of SAIHP; Dr. Dasarathi Das, Former Scientist, ICMR-RMRC Bhubaneswar and Secretary of SAIHP; and Dr. R. K. Hazra, Former Scientist, who participated as distinguished guests and resource persons.

During the session, the experts educated students about hepatitis, its causes, symptoms, modes of transmission, prevention, early diagnosis, and the importance of vaccination. Dr. Dasarathi Das delivered an informative presentation using slides, followed by a short assessment to evaluate the students’ understanding of the topic.

The top-performing students were felicitated by the distinguished guests and awarded certificates in recognition of their excellent performance in the assessment.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the college, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty members, and students for their valuable participation and contribution towards making the programme successful.
