Health Awareness & Counselling Programme at Nistha Drug Deaddiction Centre, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar
On 19th April 2026, the South Asian Institute of Health Promotion (SAIHP), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ekamra Kshetra, Bhubaneswar, conducted a Health Awareness and Counselling Programme at Nistha Drug Deaddiction Centre, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.
The programme aimed to raise awareness among inmates about the harmful effects of substance abuse, the importance of recovery, and the role of healthy lifestyle practices in overcoming addiction and rebuilding personal and social relationships.
Dr. Dasarathi Das and Dr. Pranab Mahapatra interacted with around 35 participants, providing guidance and counselling while encouraging them to remain committed to recovery and lead healthier and more productive lives.
The session provided a supportive and empathetic platform for participants to share their experiences, discuss challenges related to addiction, and strengthen their determination to overcome substance dependence.
